Mona Chmielewska is a leader of social media by profession, an influencer by choice, and a
hair and makeup pro by passion. From being the face of various brands to managing the social
media for her clients and creating a leader image, Mona is a social media game changer and a
leader of personal branding in all dimensions.
Mona started her journey as a social media manager, and since then, there has been no turning
back for her. From designing strategies to starting her own SOL PRESTIGE company, she has
aced every ride on her road towards success.
In a candid interview with the Leaders Magazine, Mona sheds light on her secrets of success,
dreams, passion, and plans.
● Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I am a social media manager and a creator of personal brands and companies in the social
media world. I help to create both the appearance and personality image of leaders in various
industries. I am an influencer and ambassador of selected premium brands that offer high-end
products and excellent business values. I focus on continuous development in many areas,
which gives me a holistic approach to life and helps me connect the right dots in my business
strategy.
● How did you start with social media?
I have worked for many years as a freelancer in the advertising industry. I created the image of
models, celebrities and many leaders, taking care of their looks and appearance in front of the
camera. I was also a lecturer at the International College of Dziewulscy, teaching others how to
create an image through makeup and hair. All these helped to build my own brand and enabled
me to start managing profiles for other companies. As my client base expanded, I invented
exceptional solutions and automation of social media platforms, increasing the visibility of my
client profiles online.
● What is a personal brand? What is its importance in a business?
Nowadays, business is all about using the most powerful currency on the planet – your personal
brand – to grow your business. In other words, personal branding is an indicator of the power of
published content.
A company backed by a real creator is a credible, authentic brand that others want to identify
with and buy from them with confidence.
Everyone has a personal brand, but a well-established brand stands for expert knowledge,
experience or talent. What also matters is how the value or the content goes well with the image
of the leader.
● How is a personal brand created?
Everyone has a personal brand, but it is utterly crucial as to how it’s portrayed. Sometimes a
personal brand is a persona created for branding or marketing purposes to attract attention. But
the more consistent it is with your real personality, the easier it is to establish it. It is also good
for a personal brand to be unique and special. To achieve this, it must be consistent with the
target group, message and purpose. If a personal brand is led in the right way, then at some
point, the person behind it becomes an expert, eventually becoming a leader in that industry.
Each of the above stages should be built consciously, and if the client would like to speed up
building a personal brand, we offer individual sessions conducted by a coach or mentor.
● What is the difference between a coaching and a mentoring program?
Coaching is an interactive process of personal development that is often combined with
psychology, behavioural psychology, and sociology. The coach analyses the client’s personality
using open-ended questions and self-development methods to help the client change their
perspective. This, in turn, accelerates the process of customer self-analysis and increases the
effectiveness of actions.
Mentoring is a partnership in which the client wants to build on what the mentor has already
achieved in a given field. During mentoring, the client receives strategies, action plans and
solutions for situations. The mentor gives specific tools, tasks, and guidelines, often passing on
the knowledge and skills that the client needs to acquire to move on.
● Is it worth focusing on video in social media?
An interesting image or personality attracts attention and distinguishes the company from the
competition. Video is a digital advertisement that allows you to show yourself and your products
more precisely, inspire credibility and trust and build your image as an expert. A short movie
brings you closer to the client and triggers interest, relationships and commitment. Currently, it
is the best way to reach the customer, present yourself and your offer.
● Why is social media marketing so essential for businesses?
Social media is the power of our time. A few seconds of profile view decides whether someone
will turn into our potential customer. The details and consistency of the message, along with the
values and style of the brand are extremely crucial.
Approximately 80% of the population buys “with their eyes” and most often, they buy online
now. Attracting customers’ attention with the right graphics, video, and logo allows the brand to

● Where do businesses go wrong in terms of their social media presence?
Everyone makes mistakes, but sometimes these mistakes may result in less visibility on social
media platforms, a waste of time and budget. This, in turn, may lead to the account being
temporarily blocked or receiving a shadowban. We catch problems during consultations and
account analysis. The most common mistakes are lack of account security, lack of professional
audit and settings, use of banned hashtags, lack of strategy, lack of style, lack of content, lack
of personal branding or just average profile appearance.
● What was your biggest fear while choosing social media as a career?
I used to think that the social media world was not for me as I was not a model or a celebrity.
However, many people in the industry persuaded me to start. To do it, I had to overcome my
fears, adapt and evolve, although taking pictures of myself was very difficult at the start. I then
saw the great value of a personal brand and social media as a business tool. Soon, I figured out
how it benefits the business and how much it helps in the development of a brand. That’s why I
know it’s worth starting to build an online image because even small steps on social media can
facilitate and accelerate building a business.
● What is your greatest achievement so far?

celebrities, models, and successful leaders and meet extraordinary personalities full of charisma
and knowledge. I travel a lot and can work from anywhere in the world. I think most people
would consider that a success. However, my greatest achievement for me was creating a
personal brand in two countries. The second achievement is what I am building now with the
SOL TEAM of experts. Together with the SOL TEAM, we want to achieve our goals, expand our
skills and develop each other.

PRESTIGE, which was created for entrepreneurs wanting to develop their personal brands on
social media and grow their businesses.
Besides this, the project for Leaders Magazine is also my topmost priority, as I will be the
publisher of the June issue.

that helps to create an image of the brand, so wield it wisely or hire an expert who can
holistically look at your business goals with an open mind.
